oh shit r u on now??? oh god i'm so sorry >_<. alright, to tell u the truth i have absolutely no idea, i did one on the yuan empire but then i copied a chart from wendy dealing with korea, japan, and annam

korea:
- created printing
- koryo kings married into mongols
- started cotton growing
- began to use gunpowder (after they found out)
- even after Yuan fell --> still had contacts with Mongols
- Yi rejected period of Mongol domination --> brought back Confucianism and some other things

Japan:
- had a few wars with Japan
- encouraged Japan and made them change socially and politically (to prepare for Mongol invasion, not by force)
- Shogun centralized military
- after wars Mongols remained a threat
- built walls (coastal defense)
- did well afterwards when Mongols left

Annam:
- Annam and Champa gave tribute to Mongols
- Didn't really bother Annam and Champa so much
- Chama inpendence gone


for my craptastic pest chart on yuan empire just for in case is

politcal:
- had a centralized gov't
- unified China's 3 seperate states into one
- Mongols had highest social class ranking compared to Central Asians, Islams, or Chinese
- Collected taxes

Economic:
- had problems with the lack of metals for currency (copper)
- tried paper money but failed
- traded with Central Asians and Middle Easterners
- traded porcelain, silk, tools, books, weapons..etc.
- introduced interest in the medical fied (doctors and medicines transported to Yuan for aid)
- merchants were considered more powerful than ruler at one point

Social:
- took out confucian beliefs for a while
- believed in shamanism
- were open and tolerant to other religious beliefs
- most Mongols DID believe in god

Technological:
- gunpowder
- weaponry
- artificial islands (Forbidden City)
- wider roads
- porcelain?

dude what happened? why weren't u in school today?

hw:
- global: watch debate, take notes --> if u can type the crap out with all the questions (not due tomorrow but if u have time - by the way it's due monday)

- eng: there was the test...and mainly it tells u to read pages 1-3..and it gives u 7 multiple choice questions. then u have to write a mini essay saying whether u agree that it should be banned or not
