No one that carries my blood is safe, so it seems. I can't say I'm not afraid. I'm on the list for this inferno spirit I'm sure. I wish I could take back all the horrid things I've said about my family and the dullness of my life. Everything is getting complicated. - built walls (coastal defense)
- did well afterwards when Mongols left
Annam:
- Annam and Champa gave tribute to Mongols
- Didn't really bother Annam and Champa so much
- Chama inpendence gone

- unified China's 3 seperate states into one
- Mongols had highest social class ranking compared to Central Asians, Islams, or Chinese
- Collected taxes
Economic:
- had problems with the lack of metals for currency (copper)
- tried paper money but failed
- traded with Central Asians and Middle Easterners
- traded porcelain, silk, tools, books, weapons..etc.
- introduced interest in the medical fied (doctors and medicines transported to Yuan for aid)
- merchants were considered more powerful than ruler at one point
Social:
- took out confucian beliefs for a while
- believed in shamanism
- were open and tolerant to other religious beliefs
- most Mongols DID believe in god
Technological:
- gunpowder
- weaponry
- artificial islands (Forbidden City)
- wider roads
- porcelain?
